BM59 FAL Manual Information

Greetings,

Please excuse that this posting is in English as my Italian is only barely capable enough to order food and to greet someone.

I am trying to locate an Italian Military Manual for the BM59 FAL. All that is available in the USA is the multicolor four language brcochure produced by Berreta.

What I hope to locate is a typical military manual for the BM59 with instructions for dissasembly, maintenance, and reassembly. I am also looking for a parts breakdown illustration (picture) that would list the parts and their identifing part number.

I hope someone can help me.

I thank you all in advance, and like many of you I am also a Military Veteran, and a Combat Veteran.

Hi and welcome.
Finding out an italian manual of the BM59 is hard because the army is still having it its depots, so all the manuals realted are military material, and for the italian laws is impossible to divulgate it out of the army.

I see that in some cases exist manual selled by surpluss seller.

The only thing that I have is a color brochure of Beretta. It has some more pages, not only four or five, and some information and nice images inside. I have it as a pdf if you need it, but I think it's the same you already have.

Axtolf,

Thank you for the reply. I have a copy of the PDF you mention and you are correct it is nice. I am going to try contacting your embassy here in the US and maybe they can get a copy or photocopy of the manual for me.

Thank You again.

I hope for you you will have some kind of response. The strange thing about this manual and many other, is that inside there is nothing secret, there are a lot of information in internet and in many other books. The Italian Fal is a Garand with some modification, so there nothing particular about it that need a military secret. But here in Italy there are many strange things related to weapons....

Sadly I think that our Embassies and Consulates in the States aren't able to give you the info u need...

Take a look at the Usenet group it.hobby.armi.moderato and try to ask there...

In Italy almost everything realting to Armed or Police Forces is treated like Top Secret...

Please ignore the last email where I requested assistance in posting to the it.hobby.armi.moderato news site. I have been able to locate a news server where I can post to the news group.

:D Thank You all again
