I Forti di Brindisi

Ciao a tutti,

last year i spent a short time in Brindisi and found a lot of different fortifications. Some were well known but some others are complete unknown. So i will show you some pictures with some questions:

picture 1 + 2: Is this batteria Carafa?
picture 3: Is this the ruin of batteria Menga? If not, where stood Menga?
picture 4: Is this the ruin of Batteria Filangeri? If not, where stood Filangeri?
picture 5: Which batterie ist this one?
picture 6: Which batterie is this one?

Also i could not find any traces of the 28 cm-howitzer-battery named „Batteria Lauria“. Where did she stood?

I am interested in all this batteries for we are planing to start an specialised article about the „Three fortified harbours“ Brindisi/Taranto/Messina. And so, at least, i could not find the book „I sistemi difensivi moderni nella piazza di Brindisi“ in "Dal mare… verso il mare" written by M. Marinazzo.

Where may i find this one???
